Toy Standards List Revision for Moldova

BAAR, SWITZERLAND / AGILITYPR.NEWS / December 02, 2025 / SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published SafeGuardS 173.25, focusing on Moldova’s revision of its toy safety standards list.

Order No. 79/2025 from Moldova’s Ministry of Economic Development and Digitalization approves the country’s list of standards, which adopts harmonized European standards for the presumption of conformity with Moldova’s Technical Regulations on toy safety. These standards are in place to protect consumer safety and restrict potentially dangerous substances.

The Order includes the following highlights:

  • Adoption of Commission Implementing Decision (EU) 2023/740 from the European Union (EU) on harmonized toy standards supporting the toy safety directive
  • Repeal of Ministry of Economy Order No. 92/2022, which previously approved the list of Moldovan standards that adopt harmonized European standards for toys
  • Update of SM EN 71-13+A1:2022 and EN 71-13:2021+A1:2022 for olfactory board games, cosmetic kits and gustative games

Order No. 79/2025 became effective on June 24, 2025, upon its publication in Moldova’s Official Gazette.
