The standard defines public-use playground equipment as structures intended for use in spaces such as schools, parks, childcare centers, resorts, restaurants and other areas where children access play equipment.
These revisions were developed by ASTM Subcommittee F15.29 on Playground Equipment for Public Use as part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety and ensure consistency in design and construction.
