UNITED KINDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / September 16, 2025 / Crown Banqueting Suite in Ilford will once again open its doors as a polling station for Moldovan citizens living in London, as part of the country’s parliamentary elections.
Acting on behalf of the Moldovan Embassy, the venue will host an official ballot box on 28 and 29 September, allowing voters to cast their ballots between 5:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. each day.
This marks the second consecutive year that Crown Banqueting Suite has played a role in Moldova’s democratic process, having previously hosted a ballot box during the presidential elections in 2024. The initiative underscores the importance of ensuring citizens abroad retain their right to participate in shaping the future of their homeland.
The stakes for Moldova’s electorate are high. On the domestic front, voters will weigh in on pressing issues such as tackling corruption and securing a stable, affordable energy supply. Internationally, the elections will serve as a barometer of Moldova’s orientation - whether continuing its journey towards European Union integration or renewing closer ties with Russia, in a choice with significant geopolitical implications.
Crown Banqueting Suite Director Fareed Nabir said, “We are proud to provide a welcoming and accessible space for Moldovan citizens in London to cast their vote. Every citizen deserves the opportunity to have their say in the future of their country, no matter where in the world they may live.
“To host this ballot box for a second year is a privilege, and we are committed to ensuring that voters feel supported and respected as they cast their vote.”
The Moldovan Embassy encourages all eligible citizens to attend and make their voices heard. Crown Banqueting Suite’s central Ilford location and strong community ties make it an ideal venue for such an important civic occasion.
