UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / October 02, 2025 / For parents, the sudden realisation that their child is nowhere to be seen can feel like an eternity. For every parent who dreads that moment, a clever new concept, developed by a creative teenager, has launched to shoulder the burden. Little Lost Soles is designed to ease the heart-stopping panic of a lost child by offering a simple but clever solution: an insole built to house an Apple AirTag™.
The concept for Little Lost Soles has been a decade in the making. The company trademark was first registered ten years ago by Wayne Robinson who, as a father, knew how distressing it can be to lose sight of a child.
But it wasn't until his son Lewis, 16, reimagined the idea that it became a reality. The simplicity of cutting the insoles to size means they can be fitted into virtually any child’s shoes, making them both accessible and practical.
While AirTags™ are not marketed as dedicated child tracking devices, their location-tracking capabilities can provide invaluable assistance in those crucial moments when a child slips from sight. Every second counts, and Little Lost Soles ensures parents have one less thing to worry about in keeping their children safe.
Designed for children aged 2-10, each insole combines everyday comfort for children with peace of mind for their parents. Shoes are far less likely to be discarded that most items, so the insole ensures that that the AirTag™ always stays with the child - eliminating the risk of it being misplaced in a coat pocket or forgotten in a rucksack while the child wanders away.
Lewis Robinson, now Company Director, said, "My dad mentioned he had this idea years ago, but he parked it because the tech was so expensive at the time. I thought to myself, can’t you just house an AirTag™ within an insole?
"From there, he let me run with it. I worked with an insole company, created the branding, set up the online store, and even funded the first order of 1,000 units by washing cars and selling clothes - especially dad's clothes! - on Vinted. It’s truly been a family project, made by one family, for all families."
As well as housing an AirTag™, the insoles are also designed for everyday wear - keeping children’s growing feet well supported while the AirTag™ remains securely concealed.
