Mayfield Lavender Kick Starts Christmas Shopping and Festivities in Surrey

Mayfield’s Glasshouse Gift Shop & Café in Epsom is set to sparkle as a festive destination for all ages throughout November and December.
From Saturday, November 1st, visitors can browse Mayfield’s beautifully curated Christmas Shop, stocked with decorations, unique gifts, and hampers filled with artisan food and drink. Then, from Saturday, 22nd November, guests can choose their perfect pine or spruce in Mayfield’s forest of Christmas trees. Children can enjoy free seasonal photo opportunities with the Looby Loo tractor train, beautiful heart bench, and ski gondola, all of which will be festively decorated.
Wednesday, November 26th marks the launch of Mayfield Lavender’s Christmas Fayre, served daily until the 23rd of December and featuring a festive menu of classic favourites, along with the welcome return of the popular Christmas Afternoon Tea, perfect for parties or seasonal gatherings of six or more.
The festive cheer continues on Thursday, 27th November and ‘Black Friday’, 28th November, when Mayfield Lavender invites guests to enjoy late-night shopping from 5pm to 9pm. Shoppers can look forward to special offers, complimentary mulled wine and mince pies, and Christmas carols.
At Carols in the Glasshouse on Saturday, 29th November, families can choose their Christmas tree and browse the shop while listening to Roz McLeod and her wonderful Heart & Soul Choir, who will be performing festive favourites (11am - 12pm), and raising money for Winston's Wish, the children's bereavement charity.
For those wanting to get crafty for the festive season, Mayfield Lavender is running a host of wreath-making courses (booking required).

Behind the elegant Mayfield Lavender Glasshouse Café and Gift & Plant Shop lies one of Epsom’s hidden gems: The Secret Lavender Garden. The beautiful 12-acre haven boasts fields of lavender, an apple orchard, over 500 fruit trees, a majestic tree-lined avenue and visiting local wildlife, including grazing horses. This peaceful escape hosts events and activities throughout the year; during the summer lavender season, which typically runs from June to August (with dates varying each year), visitors can enjoy an immersive and intimate lavender experience with leisurely walks through the fragrant purple blooms, capture iconic photos – including beside Mayfield’s second signature red telephone box – and relax amongst nature. Picnic tables and grassy spots provide the perfect setting for bring-your-own picnics.
The Mayfield Lavender Glasshouse Café and Gift & Plant Shop is open year-round, offering something special for every season. The café is a great place to meet for breakfast, a coffee and a sweet treat, or something more substantial, with a menu ranging from sandwiches, paninis and soups to salads, jacket potatoes, and avocado specialities. Hot food is available from 9am to 3.30pm, Monday to Saturday, and from 10am to 3pm on Sundays. The separate events area within the Glasshouse is available for private hire and makes the ideal venue for birthday parties, anniversaries, baby showers, and other celebrations.
The extensive shop is the perfect place to find unique gifts, from plants, garden accessories, and lavender-scented homewares, to organic lavender toiletries, and delicious lavender-infused liqueurs, tea, and culinary treats.
