Shell Shock Technologies Sponsored Shooter John Vlieger Secures Top Ten Finish at 2025 US IPSC National Championships

EUBANK, KY. / AGILITYPR.NEWS / August 27, 2025 / Shell Shock Technologies, LLC. (SST), a leading innovator in the ammunition industry, is proud to announce its sponsored shooter, John Vlieger, finished 7th in the Open Division out of 154 competitors at the 2025 US IPSC National Championships in Marengo, Ohio. The match, held over three days, featured 421 competitors across multiple divisions, with Vlieger completing 24 stages, totaling 350.43 seconds, and earning 1,933.816 match points—94% of the available points.

“The 2025 US IPSC National Championships had 24 technically demanding stages over 3 days, and the only limitation on my performance was between my ears,” said Vlieger. “Over 400 rounds, 45,000 steps, and more miniature steel targets than I thought possible, all without an issue or complaint from my gear. I've used Shell Shock Technologies’ NAS3 cases for my major match ammo since 2017 to cut down on the unexpected, and that decision bore fruit once again. IPSC competition places large emphasis on small targets, timing, and technical execution, where a malfunction can cost way more than expected. The IPSC World Shoot is next in South Africa, and I intend to stay true to what works.”

Vlieger, ranked 28th out of 2,245 shooters worldwide and 9th out of 91 in the USA, will represent the United States at the 2025 IPSC Handgun World Shoot, taking place September 11 – 28, 2025, in Matlosana, South Africa.

“My training has been focused on precision and reliability, and I trust the same in my gear—especially the NAS³ cases from Shell Shock Technologies,” added Vlieger. “The World Shoot is held only once every three years and brings together the top shooters from over 100 nations, making it the highest level of competition in practical shooting. I look forward to testing myself against the best shooters in the world.”

“John’s dedication to the sport and trust in Shell Shock Technologies NAS³ cases exemplify the level of precision and reliability our products are designed to provide,” said Peter Foss, Managing Partner and CEO of Shell Shock Technologies. “We are proud to support him as he represents the United States on the world stage.”

About Shell Shock Technologies NAS3 Cases:

NAS3 cases are 50 percent lighter than brass cases, offer greater lubricity, and will not abrade, clog, foul, wear out, or damage breach and ejector mechanisms. The cases offer greater corrosion resistance, tensile strength (2x stronger), and elasticity than brass. NAS3 cases will not split, chip, crack, or grow (stretch). The pistol cases are fully reloadable (using S3 Reload dies) and can be reloaded many more times than brass cases. NAScases can be picked up with a magnet. The head can be colored for branding purposes and easy load identification.

NAS3 is “Best in Class” for maintaining consistent velocity between rounds. In an independent test performed by H.P. White Laboratory (a major munitions testing facility), rounds fired using NAS3 cases achieved a velocity standard deviation of 0.093 FPS (124-grain FMJ bullet, 4.2 grains Titegroup powder, ten rounds, extreme variation 3fps).
